Good, not perfect.
The laptop is fast, but it has four GB of ram which Vista 32 can only use 3, the keyboard isn’t that hard also. But for the price is the best choice out there, no question about.

THE BEST!!!This is a good GAMERS NOTEBOOK is so fast!! all the games run perfect!! i dont know why the other user say they have problem with the sound.I say one thing the sound is perfect for a laptop!! of course isn’t a sound to edit and mix CD’s for company.But the sound is good!..one thing more.The have official windows XP drivers!!!.. so.Mmuch better resources for gaming..in vista the overclocking button dont work..in xp yes!! so i think.For 800$ this is te best laptop you may be able to buy!!..

New review after more experience with this computerAs stated I deleted my original 4 star review and am replacing it with a 1 star review. This computer has so many issues I do not know where to start. To begin the internet connection will drop every time you close the computer or put it to sleep. That means you must restart the complete computer every time it sleeps if you want to have internet back up. Also the internet card is very weak. Our 500 dollar HP computer gets five bars in the basement of our house, this MSI computer is lucky if it can get 2. The keyboard of this computer is horribly laid out and squished with many of the more vital buttons being half the size of a regular keyboard or a laptop keyboard. The battery life is nothing short of ridiculous. It lasts a staggering one hour on “turbo battery” settings. The speakers or awful quality and sound like a bunch of rattling more so than music. You will have to purchase external speakers if you want to hear anything and not bleed out the eyes and ears. With all of the advanced notebook hardware, it still lags just from simple things like starting Zune software or trying to open up a simple game of free cell. They stylish qualities of this computer fade out quickly after realizing all of the instabilities inside it. The computer runs rather hot on the right sidethe side where you’ll be using a mouse if you decide to use one. But what really made me say goodnight to this computerand Microsoft in general, was the crash of vista AND the hard drive simultaneously. I had this computer for two months and never dropped it, spilled anything on it, or used any form of possibly harmful software or accessed any of those “websites” that can expel viruses into a computer. And worse, was the complete lack of technical support on the side of MSI. I could not get them to answer to my three different service requests. My computer is under warranty for the next two years and I do expect them to fix or replace this problem. Don’t be fooled by the initial hype bordering this computer. Yes it is stylish, yes it is many of bang for the buck, and yes it looks like something that has many backing itMSI is a great MOBO maker after all, but this isn’t a good stand alone computer. I could recommend a mac, you avoid all of the problems with Vista AND all of the hardware issues with MSI. I can see why the costs of Macs are double comparable PCs, they work. In any way, I could not buy this computer, maybe another higher end model, but not this particular model.

Great gaming computer for half the priceIf you’re someone wanting to get a slick computer able of running many of today’s most sophisticated games on PC and not blow the bank, look no more. When doing research on laptops, I looked at alike merchandise costing $1,200 to $2,000. Irritated, I noted some number of websites suggested this laptop. I bought this computer just some weeks ago and have had great success playing games like Warhammer 40,000: sunrise of War II, Sins of a Solar Empire, and Empire Total War. The unit does, of course, get pretty warm while playing these games, but I still feel comfy resting it on my lap while playing. Over being great for games, the onboard wireless card is great. I stream movies and sporting events as if I has been connected straight to a LAN line. Think about I do have a pretty good wireless router.
There are only two issues I can really see with this laptop, and I can get passed them, but maybe they’ll turn you away. For one, the sound isn’t great. After all, it’s only a laptop. I doubt too many laptops will have good sound. This is easily fixed with a cheap pair of speakers. The second, the battery life is short, short. I can work on its most economical settings for only about one and hours. I can get by this because I’m generally near an outlet when using the laptop. For those who have to work for hours at a time at your local coffee shop, this may not be for you.
As a word of warning, the computer I received had the drive pre partitioned, which gets annoying since they made the C: Drive pretty small and so many programs force themselves to be installed under C:. The great news is Windows Vista lets you to manage your drive partitions without having to by extra software a big advantage over XP. If you go into Computer Management, under Storage Disk Management, you may be able to manage your partitions I strongly propose looking up help files and tech boards online before blindly deleting and moving stuff around you may be able to erase everything on your computer.
